Adobe Firefly
Adobe Firefly is Adobe's generative AI platform for creating images, video, audio and vectors from text prompts, with tools like Generative Fill that also work in Photoshop and Express.
Overview
What is Adobe Firefly?
Adobe Firefly is Adobe's family of generative AI tools for creating and editing visual content. On the Firefly web app and mobile apps, you can generate images and vectors from text prompts, create short video clips, work with audio and translation features, and plan ideas on a collaborative canvas called Boards. Firefly's AI features also appear inside other Adobe products such as Photoshop and Adobe Express.
Popular standard features include Generate Image, Generative Fill, Generative Expand and Text to Vector. Premium features, such as video generation, audio and translation tools, and outputs from partner AI models, use monthly generative credits. Paid plans include unlimited standard image and vector generations, while credits are used for the premium tools and reset each billing cycle without rolling over.
Firefly is widely used by designers, marketers, social media creators and agencies who already work in the Adobe ecosystem and want AI inside their usual workflow. It is also useful for beginners who want to explore ideas quickly in a browser. Plans and credit allowances change often, so check Adobe's pricing page, and review Adobe's licensing terms and any partner model terms before using generated assets commercially.
